When life gets loud, fast, and a little too much, this is a place to slow down and come home to yourself.
Eaves Wood is one of the UK's remaining temperate rainforests ~ a rare and ancient ecosystem shaped by moisture, shade and time.
In midsummer, the woodland is full and alive.
Leaves are lush, scents are rich, and the forest hums with quiet vitality.
Is This You?
You are busy, may get overwhelmed, head is full, you find it hard to stop thinking, life can feel fast.
You may enjoy nature, you may hike, cycle, run, dance... but find it hard to slow down.
You may experience fatigue, feel up and down, reactive.
You may crave an excuse to not DO much... but stay on the hamster wheel.
You used to notice things. The light through the trees. Your own breath. What it felt like to just stop.
That you is still there.
What is Forest Bathing?
Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing means to "immerse your senses in the atmosphere of the forest." It creates the conditions for the body to soften out of stress and into rest, repair, and coherence.
Moving through nature and being with nature are not the same thing. This is the second one.
The Experience
We walk gently. We pause. We notice.
Through simple invitations, you're guided to engage the senses, reconnect with your body, settle out of thinking, and attune to the woodland around you.
There is nothing to achieve. Just space to be, and permission to reset naturally.
The forest meets you exactly as you are.
This is not a hike, workshop, or performance, and it's not therapy.
It's a spacious, nourishing morning held by the forest, in collaboration with the National Trust, who care for this beautiful stretch of ancient woodland.
What the Morning Includes
Guided forest bathing invitations
Time for stillness, gentle movement, and rest
A small group held in relaxed, shared presence
A woodland fire to gather around (if not too hot), a picnic and enjoy the space together
How This Work Is Held
I am a certified Forest Therapy practitioner, guiding experiences with a presence-based, relational approach shaped by years of practice with individuals and groups.
The space is emotionally safe, unhurried and grounded, and respectful of personal boundaries. You are never asked to share more than feels right.
What People Say
"I was looking for a different way of helping me manage my anxiety and the course did just that. I connected to my body through my senses and discovered that when I slow down, and really connect with my environment, I can calm my nervous system and be truly present."
— Participant, 6 week course, Lighthouse Charity Programme, Spring Group
Research & Evidence
Forest Bathing is supported by a growing body of research exploring its effects on stress, the nervous system, and wellbeing. Studies continue to show that even a single session can be associated with lower stress hormones and support the body's shift into rest and repair.
