Alchemy with Nature Retreat
Autumn Retreat. 2–4 October 2026.
The Rusland Valley, Lake District
* Nominated for Best Wellness Retreat at the
UK Retreat Awards 2026 *
Alchemy with Nature is not a retreat you attend.
It's something you enter.
Designed for women in midlife who are ready to stop, breathe, and come back to themselves.
Become a different rhythm. A different way of being.
Where the noise drops away… and something more honest begins to speak.
Your body softens. Your senses open. Creativity returns.
A quiet aliveness moves through you again.
Not forced. Not guided into.
Just… remembered.
Held in a 12-acre private temperate rainforest, this is a space to meet the natural world ~ and yourself ~ in a more pure, unfiltered way.
To walk gently. To listen. To be.
To be met by the land… and by other women… without needing to be anything other than who you are.
There is space here for rest. For connection. For something deeper to awaken.
This Retreat Is For
This is a midlife retreat for women in the UK who are exhausted from holding everything together when this is a time of
transition and change.
You are moving through the midlife, which can bring a lot to the surface, and you are evolving as a woman.
You're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix.
Craving space and somehow never taking it.
You don't need another technique.
You need somewhere to put it all down.
This is for you if you want a digital detox.
If you want permission to do very little for two days.
If you've been craving nature, trees, quiet and you don't quite know why.
If you want to feel light again, remember the parts of yourself that got buried under responsibility, connect and be with other women, like you.
You don't need to have been to a retreat before.
You don't need to be fit, spiritual, or sure of anything.
You just need to be ready to slow down and be.
This Retreat Is Not For
This isn't for women who want a packed itinerary, more tools, or another self-improvement project to take home.
It's not a spa weekend.
The accommodation is simple, shared, and back to basics on purpose.
If you need a private en-suite and daily room service, this isn't it.
It's not therapy, and it's not designed for acute crisis or active clinical need.
If you're in the middle of significant mental health difficulty, please speak to me before booking so we can be sure it's right for you.
It's not for anyone who needs to stay reachable by phone.
There's very limited signal and no WiFi, by design.
And it's not for women who aren't ready to slow down yet.
If the idea of two days with nothing to perform and nowhere to be makes you anxious rather than relieved, that's worth sitting with before you book.
Is This You?
You're holding the diary, the dinner, the deadline, the children, the ageing parent who needs more from you this year than last. You're the one who remembers what everyone else forgot.
And somewhere in the middle of all that doing, you've gone quiet to yourself.
You're tired in a way that sleep doesn't touch anymore.
Wired even when you finally sit down.
You snap at things that never used to bother you, then spend the rest of the day wondering what's wrong with you.
Nothing is wrong with you.
You're just carrying more than one woman was ever meant to carry, for longer than you were ever meant to carry it.
You crave space.
A weekend with no one needing anything from you.
But somehow you never take it, because there's always one more thing, and rest has started to feel like something other people get to have.
You miss seeing your friends, or maybe you are not in touch with your old mates anymore.
You miss laughing properly.
You miss other women who get it without you having to explain.
You miss the version of yourself that felt light, curious, alive, before life got this loud.
Pssst. She is still there.
If you've found yourself searching for a midlife retreat for women in the UK, somewhere to actually stop rather than just survive the week, this is likely why.
You're not broken. You're just done holding everything together on your own.
The Luxury of 2026
In 2026 the most searched retreat experiences are not spas or
packed programmes.
They are quietcations: tech-free spaces for women who are emotionally depleted,
going through transitions, and craving the one thing modern life doesn't offer…
genuine quiet.
Women are searching for somewhere to get their mind back. To feel again. To remember what actually matters.
This is that place.
Not a spa. Not a schedule packed with activities.
The real luxury right now…
is quiet.
Time away from the noise. Away from the screen. Away from the endless doing.
Space to stop. To feel again. To remember what actually matters.
This is a tech-free, screen-free space.
No WiFi demands. No notifications. No performing for anyone.
Just you. The woodland. And a small community of women who came for the same thing.
A quietcation — for your mind, your nervous system, and your soul.
What Women Experience In The Forest
Again and again, women say the same thing after being in nature in community:
"I felt safe."
Not because anything was forced. Not because they were guided into anything.
But because their body was finally able to relax.
And from that place… something begins to shift. In a way that's hard to explain but deeply felt.
The mind softens. The constant noise begins to fade. Your body realises… it doesn't have to be on anymore.
And something more natural… more honest… emerges.
Something in you remembers.
In Her Words…
“Working with Delyth has changed my life!
My experience of menopause left me feeling adrift from who I was, questioning everything about the path I was on.
Through Delyth’s guided forest work I have found the answers I was looking for, answers which came from within, answers I was finally able to hear once I opened up to what nature was guiding me towards.
I could not have moved through this period in my life without Delyth’s help, for this I will be forever grateful to her for her kindness, support and wisdom.”
“I cannot begin to express how much I enjoyed it. It was truly wonderful.
I realised I don’t notice the beauty in things ~ I’m too wrapped up in my head.
But to slow down and really notice… I found extremely powerful.
I have never in my whole life written a poem… and suddenly the words just came. It’s like I’ve been given the gift of noticing.”
“I honestly feel that two decades of my held pain was absorbed by the woodland today… effortlessly.
The spell woven by the trees and birds, creating another reality where all burdens and hurts may be softly laid to rest.
No need to carry them any longer.”
Over The Weekend, Women Typically Experience
The mind becoming quieter ~ without forcing it
The body releasing tension it didn't know it was holding
A sense of being genuinely held ~ without needing to perform
Feeling more like themselves ~ clearer, open, softer, more present
Why This Works When a Typical Getaway Doesn't
Most breaks ask you to keep doing, just somewhere nicer.
A spa day, a city break, a holiday with an itinerary, they're lovely, but they don't actually ask anything of you to stop.
This is different.
There's nowhere to be and nothing to perform.
No agenda packed with workshops, no rigid schedule to keep up with, no WiFi pulling you back into everyone else's needs the second you have a quiet moment.
The work is mostly done by the land itself.
A private temperate rainforest in the Lake District, 12 acres, exclusively ours for the weekend.
You move slowly through it. You sit by the fire. You're held in a small women's circle without ever needing to share more than feels right.
Forest bathing, simple sensory practices, and HeartMath breathing run quietly underneath all of it, helping your nervous system balance without you having to try.
This is the part most midlife retreats for women in the UK miss.
You don't need more information or another framework.
You need permission to stop long enough for your own system to remember how to rest.
The forest does that work. My role is simply to open the door and hold the space around you while you do.
You leave with something practical too, a way of breathing that expands your capacity to live your life, that you can use long after the weekend ends.
But mostly you leave lighter. Steadier.
Back in relationship with nature, and with yourself, that doesn't need to be forced.
How This Space Is Held
This is not just forest bathing as a practice.
It’s a space where something deeper - often long forgotten - begins to re-emerge.
A secluded haven nestled between Coniston and Lake Windermere. 12 acres of ancient private woodland. Forest paths. Open clearings. Fire spaces. Quiet places to simply be.
The land is not just the setting. It is the essential part of the experience.
I first came to this woodland in 2020 to complete my forest therapy training. I held two six-week Forest Therapy courses here in 2021. Since then I've returned many times — through every season, every weather — and now volunteer here.
I know this land intimately.
It is ancient, magical, and deeply held. A sacred place for women to gather, heal, connect, and let go.

What Could Hold You Back
“I can't justify the time away.”
You're allowed two days. Your family, your work, your to-do list, none of it collapses because you stepped away.
It'll likely still be there exactly as you left it. You being depleted doesn't actually serve anyone either.
“It feels like a lot of money to spend on myself.”
£350 for two nights, every meal, and every session.
Think about what you've spent on things that gave you far less than a weekend of actually putting everything down.
“I don't know anyone going.”
Most women come alone. That's normal here, not the exception. You don't need to arrive knowing anyone, you just need to arrive.
“I feel guilty taking time for me.”
This is usually the loudest one, and the most worth questioning.
You give to everyone else without a second thought.
This is two days of giving something back to yourself, and you'll come home better able to give to everyone else too.
“What if I can't switch off?”
You don't have to switch off on arrival. Nobody does.
The forest does that work slowly, over the weekend, without you forcing it.

FAQ
Do I need to bring my own bedding?
Yes ~ sleeping bag or duvet, and a pillowcase if you prefer your own. Mattresses are provided. Woodland evenings are cool even in October
What level of fitness is needed?
Slow, gentle walking on uneven woodland paths. You don't need to be highly fit ~ just comfortable at a relaxed pace in natural terrain. If you're unsure, get in touch before booking.
What if it rains?
We still go outside. Rain is part of nature's rhythm and the woodland holds us beautifully in all weather. Indoor space is available for meals and rest.
Is this suitable if I experience anxiety or low mood?
Forest bathing and nature connection are widely shown to support nervous system regulation and wellbeing. Many women find it deeply grounding during periods of mild to moderate anxiety or low mood. This retreat is not therapy and is not a substitute for clinical care. If you are currently under clinical support or experiencing significant mental health challenges, please get in touch before booking.
Is this suitable if I'm new to retreats?
Yes. There is no expectation to share, perform, or participate beyond what feels comfortable. You are welcome exactly as you are.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Most women attend alone. The retreat is designed to feel welcoming and supportive for solo participants.
Is this a therapeutic or trauma-focused retreat?
No. This is a nature-led space for rest, regulation, and reconnection ~ intentionally gentle, not designed for deep therapeutic processing.
What if I need to cancel?
Please see the Cancellation Policy above. Personal travel insurance strongly recommended.
This Is Your Invitation
This midlife retreat for women in the UK isn't for everyone, and it doesn't need to be.
It's for the women who are done holding everything together, who are ready to put it down for two days and remember what it feels like to breathe properly.
You don't need to be ready in any particular way. You don't need to have it figured out.
You just need to be willing to come.
These retreats are offered as an invitation. They are held with care, simplicity, and respect for each person's own rhythm.
Alchemy with Nature runs 2–4 October 2026, in a private temperate rainforest in the Rusland Valley, Lake District.
£350 includes two nights, every meal, and every session.
Maximum twelve women, with limited spaces remaining.
If something in you is saying yes, don't wait for the perfect moment.
There isn't one. There's just this one.
Reserve your place with a £150 deposit, or message me if you have any questions before you do.
I'd love to be with you in the forest this October.
