Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
I am Delyth Johnson, trading as Becoming Your True Nature. I am responsible for your personal information, and this policy explains what I collect, why, and what your rights are. It covers my websites, becomingyourtruenature.com and [the domain this page is on], and my services. You can contact me at delyth@delythjohnson.co.uk.
I follow UK data protection law, which means the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What I collect
When you visit my website, I collect information about your device and how you use the site, such as your browser, IP address, the pages you view and how you found me. This comes from cookies and similar technologies.
When you enquire, I collect your name, email address, phone number and your message.
When you book or buy, I collect your name, email address, phone number, billing details and what you booked. Card payments are handled by Stripe, and I never see or store your card details. If you pay by bank transfer, I see your name and account details on my bank statement.
When you become a client, I collect the information you give me in forms and in sessions, and I keep my own session notes. This can include information about your health, emotional wellbeing and life experiences. The law treats this as sensitive information, and I look after it accordingly.
If you join my email community, I collect your name and email address.
How I use your information, and why
I use your booking and order information to provide what you have booked, to take payment and to keep records. My legal basis is the contract between us, and my legal duty to keep financial records.
I use enquiry information to reply to you. My legal basis is my legitimate interest in running my practice and responding to people who contact me.
I use client information to work with you safely and well. For sensitive information about your health and wellbeing, my legal basis is your explicit consent, which I will ask for before we begin. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing me. If you do, I may not be able to continue working together.
I send emails to my community only if you have chosen to receive them, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Recordings
As set out in my Terms of Use, some group sessions and some 1:1 future self sessions are recorded, and I tell you beforehand. Recordings are for your own use.
Group recordings are stored on YouTube as unlisted videos, which means only people with the link can watch them. I only share the link with the people who took part, and I ask them not to pass it on. I delete group recordings after a few years.
1:1 recordings are sent to you using WeTransfer, and I then delete my copy.
Who I share your information with
I use trusted providers to run my practice. These are Squarespace for my website and store, Stripe for payments, MailerLite for email, Google for email and YouTube, TryBooking for bookings, WeTransfer for sending recordings, Zoom for online sessions, and Meta if you accept advertising cookies. Each provider has its own privacy policy on their website. I do not sell your information.
I may also share information where the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect my legal rights.
Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, I rely on the safeguards they put in place under UK data protection law.
Cookies
My website uses essential cookies to work, and, only with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings on the site. You can also manage advertising preferences in your Facebook, Instagram and Google account settings.
How long I keep your information
I keep client records for 7 years after our work ends, then securely delete them. I keep order and payment records for as long as tax law requires. I keep enquiries only for as long as I need to deal with them. I keep your email address on my email list until you unsubscribe. Recordings are kept as described above.
Security
I take reasonable steps to keep your information secure.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email me. I will reply within one month and I do not charge a fee. Some records I need to keep, for example for tax or insurance reasons, and I will explain if I cannot delete something.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please contact me first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time, and the latest version will always be on this page.
